To Configure the List of Physical Item Types

You can define optional attributes for physical items to provide additional classification, beyond the structured classification system in AssetWise.

Examples of physical item types are Component, Equipment, Assembly.

Open the System Admin tab (View > System Administration).
Set Global as the default scope.
Click the Maintain List Values icon .
Select Physical Item Type.
The Physical Item Type tab opens in the Content pane.
To add a new physical item type, go to the next available row and do the following:
1. Click in the Code field and enter a short code for the physical item type.
2. Click in the Description field and enter a name for the physical item type.
3. Click the Save icon at the end of the row.

Note: If you are adding or modifying multiple physical item types, you can save all your changes at once using the Save icon in the main toolbar. You can also delete a physical item type by clicking the Delete icon at the end of the row.
